Standard Bank’s credit/Visa and cheque account holders and Diners Club SA cardholders to benefit from Bryte’s basic travel insurance cover

          • 4 March 2020

Bryte Insurance Company Limited, the proactive business risk specialist, has partnered with Standard Bank as its preferred travel insurance provider. From 1 March 2020, Standard Bank’s credit/Visa and cheque account holders and Diners Club SA cardholders will have automatic access to products in Bryte’s travel insurance portfolio. The option to access a diverse range of top-up plans is also available.

Cardholders can now enjoy Bryte’s travel insurance options for protection against costs associated with holiday disruption, visa delays, car rental excess waivers, changes to tickets and natural disasters. Bryte also offers increased policy limits for incidents such as emergency medical expenses, lost and delayed baggage and airspace closure.

Speaking on the partnership, Anrieth Symon, Head of Travel at Bryte, said, “We are delighted to partner with Standard Bank as its preferred travel insurance provider. With Bryte, customers can rest assured that their claims are easily lodged no matter where they are. Our claims handling approach is speedy, professional and fair. Bryte’s claim handlers develop individual action plans for fast recovery to minimise interruptions to customer journeys”.

“The pleasure of travel can easily be dampened by a negative event with the experience quickly turning into a nightmare if one does not have the right insurance cover in place,” said Tracy Feakes, Head of General Insurance Division at Standard Bank Insurance Brokers. “We are confident of the calibre of partner we have chosen in Bryte. The insurer’s compelling travel insurance proposition will be instrumental in providing the necessary assurance and augmented value to our customers.”,.

“This association is testament to our ability to appreciate evolving customer risks through effective product/service advancements,” added added Symon. “It also reflects on our commitment of bringing our best to the fore, at each customer touch point – a focus that is validated by our year-on-year impressive performance in the Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance’s report.”

In recent years, Bryte’s travel insurance corporate partnerships have expanded to include companies such as Bestmed, Woolworths, Absa, American Express, Investec, Nedbank and SAA Voyager, among others.
