Our thoughts are with all those affected by the conflict in the Middle East. As with most travel insurance providers, Bryte’s policies include a standard exclusion for losses arising directly or indirectly from war or war-like events. Consequently, claims resulting from these circumstances would generally not be covered.
If hostilities began after your journey started, there is a limited period between 28 February and 6 March (inclusive) during which certain policies may respond, subject to the applicable policy wording.
We understand that every situation is unique, so we encourage you to submit your claim for individual assessment in line with the policy wording.
This is how you can submit a claim (https://travelinsurance.brytesa.com/claim/).
What’s covered
If unexpected hostilities break out after your trip starts, your cover remains active for 7 days from the date hostilities start. Cover applies only if you’re not actively involved in the event.
What’s not covered
Any claims related to war (e.g., cancellations, postponements, delays) are not covered. No cover applies if you’re actively serving in the military, police, or similar organisations.
For updates, please follow official travel advisories and your airline’s guidance.
Rebooking a journey due to the conflict
If your upcoming travel plans are affected by the war and you are rebooking your trip for a future date, please share the new travel dates with us. As an exception to the standard policy terms, we will gladly update the existing policy dates to match the revised travel schedule. However, if you do not wish to proceed with your trip, we can cancel the policy and issue a full refund.

General Exclusion: Military, war and similar events
We do not pay for claims caused by or arising from:
You are in active service, or on duty with, or undergoing training with any military or police force, or militia or paramilitary organisation.

However, if war, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostility, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military, usurped power or a similar event begins while you are on your insured journey, and these events were unexpected or could not reasonably have been known to you, you will remain insured for up to seven days from the start of the hostilities.
